Infor President & CTO Compliments ICCG For Delivering Last Mile Functionality For RSWM, Ltd.

40,000 person hours of implementation efforts capitalized on vertical and micro-vertical expertise for textile & fashion manufacturers.
 
With micro-vertical expertise in textile & fashion business, ICCG announced completion of a full-scale implementation of Infor M3 ERP. This implementation is one of the largest ERP projects for Infor and very strategic for RSWM Ltd. as well.
 

“RSWM implemented Infor Fashion Suite in their textile business and as an Industry specific software provider, we are proud to state that with the implementation led by our partner ICCG, RSWM has successfully rolled out the solution to their businesses and are able to realize the benefits as envisioned at the beginning of their technology modernization journey. ICCG Completes Major Infor M3 ERP Implementation For RSWM Ltd.

ICCG has completed a full-scale implementation of Infor M3 ERP. This significant digital transformation implementation is one of the largest ERP projects for Infor and very strategic for RSWM Ltd. as well.

RSWM Management requested ICCG to first help them implement Infor M3 in their Yarn Manufacturing business by onboarding users on Infor’s leading ERP solution for Yarn and Textile Manufacturing division. On successful completion of that implementation, RSWM embarked on the project of modernizing its enterprise systems for the Denim fabric manufacturing division and that has been successfully completed by ICCG team.

O Canada: Why McDonald’s, Tim Hortons And Starbucks Are Testing New Food Items Up North

Of course, the renewed and now emphatically changing world of Farm-to-Table is upon us and growing in popularity at rapid speed. I do find it all so very interesting because many years ago I did work with Gardenburger (in Portland, OR) prior to Kellogg’s purchasing them. 

Morningstar Farms were popular items (and still are today) but also were products that were sold primarily to vegans or vegetarians and often sold at local organic food co-ops or whole food markets (or similar). Might be a stretch analogy but let’s recall that decades ago major automobile companies were making electric cars but in similar terms the renewed and recent popularity can be directed at Tesla. Beyond meat and Impossible foods (and many others to come) will also need to be certain they can support the new demand so that they are not like Popeye’s chicken franchises that gained major popularity with their chicken sandwiches but had a complete failure with keeping up with the demand (failed supply chain).

As to the article, I think that the following words really show how McDonald's and others are afraid of falling behind, but also somewhat skeptical about whether this growth vertical will continue. Let alone, let’s be frank, McDonald's has never been the first to initiate or ingratiate itself to healthy menu items (and lifestyle-consumer) choices.

The experiment shows that the company has paid attention to consumers’ growing interest in plant-based burgers.

However, the P.L.T. is not vegan.

The stakes are smaller. If McDonald’s P.L.T. is a flop, it can quickly pull it from the market and go back to the drawing board.

Inforum 2019 Focuses On Ease Of Deployment And Intelligent ERP

Infor is focused on productivity improvements and outcomes-based delivery of projects as the keys to ERP technology success.

To enhance productivity, Infor wants to make it easier for customers to move to its CloudSuite systems, a cloud-based ERP, and wants those systems to be embedded with intelligent ERP technologies such as business analytics, as well as AI, machine learning and robotic process automation (RPA).

"We're constantly looking at ways for our software to bring value to your organization," Infor CEO Kevin Samuelson said during Inforum 2019's opening keynote.

There is interest in intelligent ERP, but some customers and analysts believe it's too early to tell if it will be widely adopted in applications.

Is There An Unrelenting Collapse Of The Middle In Retail?

We thought this was an interesting article. Published by Forbes this month it talks about how it’s a virtual certainty that this year will end with physical stores sales not only being up year over year (again) but also, according to eMarketer, contributing more incremental sales growth than e-commerce.

My thoughts about the collapse of the middle…

Did you know that 83% of retail shoppers enjoy socializing with friends centered on physical stores? Some retailers, when pressured to increase margins, focused on cutting wages, training and staff. They shifted spending to store displays, traditional advertising, and  a poor product assortment. These retailers deserved to die. Good riddance. 

But all of this makes the mid-market ripe for a low cost, “social retailer.” One like Primark. Great selection, well trained staff and FUN. My go to store for weekend, lay around the house clothing.
